General play is as follows:
Women play from the Red tees, Men play from the Blue tees. Men with handicaps 15 and over play from the Yellow tees. Senior Men play from the Yellow tees. Difficulty driving the ball may result in non-senior men playing from the Yellow tees to increase the joy/experience overall (Please see the Competition Committee, aka Luke and Rusty.)
If a ball is sent screaming out of bounds drop another one 2 club lengths from where it went in, 1 stroke penalty. You may roll your ball over in your fairway only. Rolling the ball over is a 6″ distance, not a 100 yard drop. If you’re in the rough, play it as it lies.
Putts may be conceded at any time on the green. Once a putt is conceded the hole is done for the player who picked up. Speak clearly and/or ask for confirmation before picking up that seven footer for double bogie.
Scorecards:
At the very least the scorecards should be neat and clean and contain a way to identify each player. No, I don’t read chicken scratch, overwrites are also difficult, players should know how to score their match. Please see Allie Perras, Jenna Cordero, Luke or Rusty to have a short session on how to do it. It matters because it’s easier for Rusty to enter the scores and check for errors when the matches are properly set up and neatly filled in. Also, when the Playoffs come around it will help you figure out who is ahead or behind. If you can’t finish because of darkness determine an equitable method complete the round or leave it for Rusty who will apply a method of Justice all his own.
